The Medical Clinic is part of specialized care and operates at both locations of Blekingesjukhuset in Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

The clinic's mission is to provide residents with specialized care and treatment in the field of internal medicine. We are a process-oriented knowledge organization characterized by competent employees, high quality of care, a willingness to develop, engagement, responsibility, and participation. The clinic consists of five wards and several specialist outpatient clinics with approximately 400 employees.

About the Job

For the summer of 2025, the Medical Clinic and Rehabilitation Clinic are seeking a social worker to be placed at the hospital in Karlshamn for summer employment. The position will primarily involve work in the rehabilitation department, medicine department 9, as well as some outpatient work. Your tasks will include psychosocial treatment work consisting of crisis and support conversations with patients and relatives, counseling and guidance on social issues, as well as contacts with other healthcare providers and partners.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or completed practical training in the social work program. Previous experience in healthcare is an advantage. The job requires good language skills in Swedish as you will communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and authorities, both verbally and in writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period.
